Why We Built Stock Check: Real-Time TCG Price Intelligence
If you’ve ever tried to figure out the “real” price of a trading card, you know the frustration. TCGPlayer says one thing, eBay sold listings say another, and CardMarket has a completely different number. By the time you cross-reference them all, the deal you spotted is already gone.
The Scattered Pricing Problem
Most collectors check two or three sources before making a buying or selling decision. That’s 10-15 minutes per card — and if you’re managing a collection of hundreds or thousands, it’s simply not scalable.
Existing tools focus on a single source. PriceCharting pulls from eBay. TCGPlayer only shows their own marketplace. Nobody aggregates everything into a single view.
How Stock Check Works
Stock Check pulls pricing data from four major sources simultaneously:
- TCGPlayer — Market price, low, and high
- PriceCharting — Historical sales data
- eBay — Recent sold listings and active auctions
- CardMarket — European market pricing
All of this is presented in a stock-ticker style dashboard. You get 7-day, 30-day, 90-day, and 1-year price charts for any card in our database.
Price Alerts That Actually Work
The killer feature is alerts. Set a target price for any card, and we’ll notify you the moment any source hits that number. Free users get 3 alert slots. Pro users get unlimited.
No more refreshing tabs. No more missed deals. Stock Check watches the market so you don’t have to.
